Dairy Technology
B.Tech. Dairy Technology or Bachelor of Technology in Dairy Technology is an undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. Dairy Technology deals with all methods of handling milk from production and consumption and includes processing, packaging,
storage, transport and physical distribution.
Based on the sciences of biochemistry, bacteriology, and nutrition, Dairy Technology employs the principles of engineering. Its objectives are to prevent spoilage, improve quality, increase shelf-life, and make milk palatable
and safe for human consumption. The duration of the course is four years and it is an important and job orienting in nature.
Eligibility
- Aspiring students should have passed 10+2 examination, with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English or Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture with a minimum aggregate of 50 % marks.
- In most of the states, the admission is made based on an entrance test common to other agricultural and animal science courses.
